Group Visits - House & Grounds Closed until Easter 2021 due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Groups are especially welcome throughout the season and Wilton House offers all the facilities for a perfect day out. We are happy to tailor visits to a group’s specific requirements and to liaise with group organisers or tour companies to achieve this.

For groups of 15 and over, please pre-book to receive group rates for their visit.

During most days access to the House is on a freeflow basis. Guides are positioned in the main state rooms and are always happy to answer questions. Guide books are on sale in the shop and in the Front Hall. We suggest that you allow at least 1 hour to visit the House.

Guided visits

On quieter days, entry to the House is by guided visit which lasts approximately 40 minutes and starts every 30 minutes from 11.30am. Places can be booked on a first come, first served basis on arrival at admissions. Due to the size of some of the rooms, numbers on each tour are limited to 20 and so larger groups will be divided.

Allocated Guided Visit Days in 2020, to follow:
May –
June –

The Grounds are extensive and take up to 1 hour to explore. Groups are welcome to picnic in the Grounds.

Guided tours

For groups of 15 or more Guided Tours are also available and cost an additional £8.50 per person above the admission price. Tours last approx. 90 minutes but can be shortened on request. Guided Tours give groups the opportunity to take a more detailed look at the House and its contents. Led by experienced guides, Guided Tours are also ideal for those groups who have a specific interest in a particular aspect of the collection such as furniture or painting.

Group catering – under new management for the 2019 season.

On arrival or after your tour of the House, the café is close by for morning coffees, light lunches, afternoon teas as well as take-away drinks, snacks and ice creams.
